Rawlings is a Chapter of the Air Force Association (AFA), which is an independent, nonprofit, organization. It promotes civilian education and understanding of the importance of aerospace power and its pivotal role in the security of our nation. AFA publishes Air Force Magazine, conducts national symposia and disseminates information through outreach programs. It sponsors professional development seminars.

In the Twin Cities, we recognize excellence in the education and aerospace fields through national awards programs. The Rawlings Chapter supports scholarships and grants to Air Force active duty, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve members and their families. Rawlings supports Twin Cities ROTC and JROTC programs. Rawlings awards outstanding educators. We provide them materials to promote science, technology and math in the classroom at regional elementary and secondary schools.

Members of the Rawlings Chapter of AFA serve on committees, run special events, mentor new volunteers and students for future Air Force, AFA and community leadership.
